2D Planning - Chosen Test Fit

B E F O R E

After a trip to the garage to be serviced, we stripped the van back to its existing conditions and then took it on a couple of test trips to get a feel of exactly what we needed for future trips!

& with bare minimum cabinetry / fit out experience it was time to test ourselves.

Tips : If you don’t need it get rid , don’t try and make it work the emptier the shell the better!

Priority number one was building up the main cabinetry / joinery items and after a lot of testing / size adjusting we finally got everything to fit exactly into place and work how we wanted!

After that we were able to focus on the walls, floors, ceilings and smaller details ( my favourite part ).

Tips : Everything takes longer than you expect - set yourself a deadline!

The Modular Bed Design (Couch To Bed) ….

And da daaaa, along with smaller details came the finishing touches added and it finally started to feel like our own!

A lot of the van materials weere up-cycled and we were able to spend a lil more on the finishing touches.

Tips : Use charity shops & facebook marketplace for second hand items & save $
