Adria | Caravan

Second project was an unwanted caravan. With a little bit of TLC, we managed to restore it on a super low budget!

How It Started….

B E F O R E

The Caravan came with the majority of the big components needed. So we were able to up-cycle and reuse a lot of things, cutting the millwork down a fair amount.

This renovation was a big test for us and we really had to think outside the box and try to keep within a budget.

Tips : Every piece of material can always be used for something else never get rid!

Unfortunately we’ve lost the original visuals so here’s some pixelated versions from a video we took.

The aim was to bring everything back to basics and start with a white shell - brining in lots of warm neutral tones through fabrics, timbers and the smaller details.

We worked around the existing cooker as it still worked fine, keeping all the cupboards surrounding!

Tips : Your ideas are likely to change/ develop as you progress - but that’s a good thing!

DURING

The main joinery work consisted of the pull out couch to bed with storage and also the main bed frame - we knew we needed to make use of as much space as possible so added gas struts to the bed for lots of storage below.

Once the larger joinery items where complete we were able to focus on the smaller design details - the divider between the kitchen and bedroom was my absolute fave - simple!

Tips : Design the space clever and think compact the more storage space the better!
